Capitol Complex
Restoration and Beautification Commission
In 1976, the Legislature created the Capitol Complex
Restoration and Beautification Commission to oversee the restoration and renovation of the
public areas of the Capitol.

In addition to the State Capitol, the Bureau of
Administration is the lead agency for the management of the
various Memorials and Monuments on state owned properties
(except for educational campuses).
Any memorials placed on State Capitol grounds must be
submitted to and approved by the State Capitol Complex
Restoration and Beautification Commission. The Commission is
also responsible for naming buildings and rooms on the State
Capitol Grounds Campus.
