The State of South Dakota acted as the "lead state" for a National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) cooperative solicitation for Remanufactured Printer Cartridges with Biobased Toner.  The result was a South Dakota contract for biobased toner cartridges for use in Hewlett Packard printers.  The contract has been awarded to Lasermonks, Inc. of Sparta, Wisconsin.

This contract is available for use by state and local government entities throughout the United States.  Participation requires completion of a participating addendum by the State Chief Procurement Officer with the contractor.  A model participating addendum is provided below.  Local government entities outside of South Dakota must contact the chief procurement officer in their State Procurement Office to determine if the state has signed a participating addendum.  Information relating to participating states is also available on the NASPO Cooperative Purchasing website at http://www.naspo.org/content.cfm/id/current_contracts.
