Harvest Equipment Inspection Program

Purpose of the Program:

To the extent practical, ensure harvesting equipment entering the state is free of soil, debris and other material potentially harboring noxious weed seeds and other damaging pests.

Cooperative Effort:

Inspections are conducted thorough a collaborative effort by the SD Department of Agriculture, SD Department of Commerce and Regulation and the SD Department of Transportation. Additional support is utilized through SD County Weed and Pest Supervisors, SD County Sheriffs and Local Law Enforcement. Inspections verify compliance or noncompliance with South Dakota's plant quarantine laws.
