Small business tax workshops are joint seminars put on by the Department of Revenue & Regulation, Department of Labor, Small Business Development Center, and the Small Business Administration.
The workshop is a one-day class held at various locations throughout South Dakota. The following will be covered by each agency:
- The Small Business Development Center and Small Business Administration will update attendees about their no-cost business consulting services for new and existing businesses.
- The Department of Revenue & Regulation will outline issues with Sales and Use tax along with Contractors' Excise Tax.
- The Department of Labor will cover Unemployment Insurance Tax, Unemployment Insurance Benefits, New Hire Reporting Law, and Wage and Hour.
