Mortgage Crisis Hotline Set Up by SDHA
A toll-free South Dakota Mortgage Crisis Hotline is now available to connect homeowners facing financial difficulties in making their mortgage payments. The South Dakota Housing Development Authorities “Homeownership Education Research Organization” says the toll-free hotline connects homeowners with certified default and foreclosure counselors across the state. The hotline is for everyone from those who believe they soon won’t be able to make a payment to those who are going through foreclosure proceedings. Counselors recommend that people call the free hotline before being unable to make a payment. The Missouri River separates the hotline numbers. The West River Foreclosure hotline is 1-877-832-0161 and the East River Foreclosure hotline is 1-877-832-0163.
