Managed Care Contractor (MCC) - An entity that establishes, operates, or maintains a network of participating providers which is often called a preferred provider organization or PPO. A MCC may also contract with insurance companies, employers or other organizations to operate a managed care plan. MCC's are required to register with the Division before doing business in South Dakota.
