Work to Begin on I-90 near Draper and Vivian
WINNER, S.D. – Construction work will begin June 1 for Phase I on I-90 near Draper and Vivian resulting in the west bound lanes being closed and traffic running head to head in the east bound lanes. The resurfacing work on the west bound lanes is expected to last approximately 6 weeks.
During this time, Exit 208 will be closed to west bound travelers. Exit 201 will be open for motorists wishing to exit from I-90 into Draper, however, the west bound on-ramp to I-90 will be closed. A detour route is being provided utilizing SD 248 to Murdo for motorists wishing to access west bound I-90.
During Phase II, east and west bound traffic will be routed to the newly constructed west bound lanes of I-90. Head to head traffic during the resurfacing of the east bound lanes will last approximately 6 weeks, with all work to be completed by mid to late September. Exit 208 will be closed to east bound travelers. Exit 201 will be open for motorists wishing to exit from I-90 into Draper, however, the east bound on-ramp to I-90 will be closed. A detour route is being provided utilizing SD 248 to Vivian for motorists wishing to access east bound I-90.
Border States Paving, Incorporated out of Fargo, North Dakota is the Prime Contractor performing work on this project.
