Description:
On June 21 2009 at approximately 2:30 AM, a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Timothy Dwaine Berry, age 18, of Spearfish was traveling on Owl Creek Road. The location is 1.6 miles from Arpan Road, near Orman Dam. The passenger, Billy J. Sexton III, age 18, of Spearfish, was sitting on the passenger door. The upper part of Mr. Sexton was outside of the vehicle and Mr. Sexton was holding onto the handhold on the “A” pillar of the vehicle. The handle broke and Mr. Sexton fell from the vehicle. The right rear tire ran over Mr. Sexton and he suffered fatal injuries. Alcohol is a factor and charges are pending.
