SD Highway 46 & SD Highway 37  Chip Seal Projects

YANKTON – The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will be chip sealing a 12.9 mile section of SD Highway 46 from the intersection of SD 37 east to SD 25 and a 7.2 mile section of SD Highway 37 north from the Hutchinson/Bon Homme county line to 2 miles north of the intersection of US 18 or 2 miles north of Tripp. The chip seal is scheduled to begin on July 23 and be completed by July 31, weather permitting.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane.  A short delay can be expected while traveling through the work area.  Loose gravel will be present for a period of 36 to 72 hours after each day’s chip seal application.  Traffic should travel at 40 MPH during this time frame.  The permanent pavement marking is scheduled to be applied within 14 days of completion of the chip seal.

The Prime Contractor for the project is The Road Guy Const. from Yankton, SD.
