Wednesday, July 22, Aberdeen, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (CDT) - The Department of Labor (DOL) will jointly host a Small Business Workshop with the Department of Revenue and Regulation and Small Business Development Center at the DOL East Conference Room, 420 South Roosevelt Street. Business owners are encouraged to attend this one-day event provided at no charge to learn about available services and programs. DOL will provide insight into South Dakota's labor and employment laws, the workers' compensation and unemployment insurance systems, and employment services provided by DOL's local offices. Register and learn more.

Thursday, July 23, Digital Dakota Network, 1-4 p.m. (CDT) –The DENR Board of Water and Natural Resources will meet over the Digital Dakota Network at sites in Pierre, Rapid City, Watertown, Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, and Brookings, as well as sites in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Chicago, Illinois. The board will consider several applications for funds from the Consolidated, Clean Water State Revolving Fund, Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, and State Water Resources Management System programs. The board will consider authorization of the sale of State Revolving Fund Program Bond Anticipation Notes Series 2009 in an amount not to exceed $55 million. The board will also consider amendments to the State Water Plan, Drinking Water Intended Use Plan, and Clean Water Intended Use Plan.
