Tuesday, November 17, Pierre, 8 a.m. (CST) – The Department of Water and Natural Resources’ Water Management Board will continue a hearing on a flood control permit and water permit application from the Lake Poinsett Water Project District. Wednesday, November 18, Huron, 8:30 a.m. (CST) – The Department of Water and Natural Resources staff will be among speakers during environmental and manure management training for livestock producers at the Crossroads Convention Center, 100th Fourth Street S.W.  The training provides producers required to obtain a state water pollution control permit for livestock operations information on proper manure management and how to comply with the permit.
