Two Arrested in Hanson County Homicide 

PIERRE, S.D.-    Attorney General Marty Jackley and States Attorney James Davies announced today that Alexander Salgado, 20 and a 15 year-old juvenile female, both of Ft. Wayne, IN, were arrested last evening on charges of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder for the death of Jasmine Guevera.   

The charges are in relation to the Hanson County Fire incident of Tuesday, November 10.  

Assisting agencies that contributed to these arrests include: Hanson County Sheriff’s Office, Mitchell Police Department,  Division of Criminal Investigation, Davison County Sheriff’s Office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Sioux Falls Police Department, Huron Police Department, Aurora County Sheriff’s Office, Jerauld County Sheriff’s Office, SD Highway Patrol, Hanson County Emergency Management, Davison County Emergency Management, Davison County Search and Rescue, Alexandria Rural Fire District, Mitchell Fire and Rescue, Hanson County States Attorney, Davison County States Attorney, South Dakota Attorney General’s Office and South Dakota Department of Transportation.

This case is being prosecuted by the Hanson County States Attorney and the Attorney General’s Office. Both defendants are in custody and are currently being detained without bond. Both are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
